WPI is excited to announce the official hiring of two new faculty members. Mrs. Mallory Sibley will be joining us as a Resource Teacher for 4th and 6th grade and Dr. Lance Boyd will be filling in for Mrs. Lee 4th Grade Math while she is on maternity leave. We are so glad to have both of them as part of our school and community! Go Warriors!

Pre-registration for all Cullman County First Class Pre-K sites for
2026-2027 school year is open today! (January 15th)
- Pre-registration will close on March 13th.
- Children must be four years of age on or before September 1, 2026
to be eligible for the Pre-K Program.
- Tuition is not charged for this program.
- The random drawing will be on March 27th in the Cullman County
Board of Education Board Room. Times for each school site will be
announced soon!

New Year, same great kiddos! It was so good to see everyone back at school! 2026 is going to be great!
🎥 Movies 🍿 and class parties today. It has been an amazing 1st semester with this group of kiddos and we can’t believe how fast it has gone by.
Homemade butter today in 4th grade history! Students have been learning about Alabama history in the late 1800s.
Congratulations to our 2025 Spelling Bee 🐝 Champion Ivan Baker and our runner up Oaklee Overton! All contestants did a fantastic job!
WPI students had a blast at the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office Rodeo yesterday! They came back and enjoyed a fun class party with Mrs. Nancy, Mr. Lee, and Mr. Cleghorn!
Our first Deck the Halls was a success. Thank you everyone who came and a huge shoutout to all those that made it possible! WP is such a great community and we are glad to be able to host fun events like this! We hope everyone enjoyed tonight as much as we did! Special thanks to West Point High School Theater Dept., The Harbisons, members of Spring Hill Baptist Choir, and Mr. Brunyeel 🎅!

The gifted classes from Cold Springs, Harmony, West Point Elementary and West Point Intermediate have just finished their annual Childhaven Christmas project.
Their teacher is Mrs. Ginger Norris. Approximately 65 students were involved in this Community Service Project. This is the fourth straight year that Ms Norris' students have worked on this project, “October Christmas”.
Thank you so much to Sen. Gudger and Rep. Wadsworth for the donations to WPI to help improve the educational opportunities for all of our students. We look forward to continuing our partnership with the great leaders in our State!

Lunchroom rockstars! These ladies always do a great job, but they absolutely bring it on Thanksgiving! We are very thankful for them!
West Point Intermediate is excited to announce that we received a 94 on the Alabama Department of Education Report Card! We are so proud of our students and faculty for this amazing achievement!
We had 100% student growth and an attendance rate of 97.3%!
WPI students were able to watch Dustin Phillips with UAH launch a weather balloon today. As of 2:15pm, the balloon was 8 miles up and already over the Alabama Georgia border.

WPI 5th graders selected Mrs. Johnson as our Super Citizen! Mrs. Johnson represents all of the characteristics of a super citizen and then some! Very deserving!
